I wanted to do a gender reveal using the embroidered Mickey hats that you can find in the parks. Something that says “it’s a boy” or “it’s a girl“ that we can use to reveal our baby’s gender. I can’t find any examples online. Is this possible?

    Welcome to planDisney, Claire!

Planning a Disney-themed gender reveal sounds absolutely magical! There's something extra special about combining the joy of a baby announcement with the enchantment of Disney. Using iconic items from the parks, like Mickey hats, will make your reveal adorable.

Yes, it is possible to use embroidered Mickey hats for a gender reveal! Right at the entrance of Magic Kingdom Park, to the right, there's a haberdashery that does embroidery. You can have "It's a boy!" or "It's a girl!" added to a hat there. You can purchase a plain Mickey hat from one of the gift shops and then have it embroidered afterwards.

Here's a tip: if you want to reveal the gender during a character meet-and-greet, have the character "present" the hat to you or hold it up for a photo. Many characters are happy to play along, making the moment extra fun and magical whilst capturing a memorable photo!
