I wanted to do a gender reveal at Disney. I wanted to see how we could get the castle to light up pink and blue back and forth and then once the gender hits have the same color fireworks go off

Welcome to planDisney, Fanol! Thanks so much for asking this great question! Congratulations on expecting a future Mouseketeer! I can't think of a better place to announce and celebrate your news other than The Most Magical Place on Earth!!

With your arrival date approaching quickly, let's talk about your options for announcing the gender of your baby next week! Ever since Flora and Merryweather couldn't agree on the color of Aurora's birthday gown, they have been asking to make the Disney castles pink or blue! While that would be fun, the new nighttime spectacular, Disney Enchantment, is currently scheduled nightly at Magic Kingdom Park, and at this time, it is the only projections and fireworks display for guests to enjoy.

As a fellow dreamer, I know this might not be the wish your heart is dreaming of. I have some other suggestions for very Disney ways to share whether it will be a prince or a princess! Once you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort, you can purchase Mickey Mouse ears and have them embroidered with "It's a Girl!" or "It's a Boy!". You could also bring a pink or blue onesie to include as part of your announcement. Be sure to pick up a complimentary "I'm Celebrating!" button as you enter Magic Kingdom. You can even have the button personalized with your news for a small cost at Ye Old Christmas Shoppe located in Liberty Square.

I would also suggest buying some pink and blue balloons on Main Street, U.S.A. to use for your gender reveal. You could release the color that doesn't represent the gender you are expecting. My best advice would be to capture this magical memory with a personalized Capture Your Moment photo session. Click here to check for reservation availability. The great news is that all Capture Your Moment photo sessions offer an iconic Magic Kingdom Park setting which includes a view of Cinderella Castle. If you cannot reserve a date and time, you can find a Disney PhotoPass photographer in front of Cinderella Castle to take a few photos of your special occasion. Either of these options is a great way to capture this special core memory and will help you share the big news with those that can't be with you that day.

I hope this information helps you plan to reveal your exciting news! While you are celebrating, so is Walt Disney World in many ways during The World's Most Magical Celebration! Be sure to check out all of the fun happening throughout the theme parks!

Wishing you many magical memories as you welcome your little one!

    Smiles,
    Lisa
