I wanted to have dinner at Ohana then watch the Electrical water pageant and Magic Kingdom fireworks after from the beach at the Polynesian resort. While I know show times can change I was wondering what the best time was to book our dinner at Ohana?

Greetings, and welcome back to planDisney, Sylvia!

Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation - you obviously are an expert at planning and I am thrilled with your choice of dining venue and location to view all the excitement in the skies above Cinderella Castle and floating through the Seven Seas Lagoon! ‘Ohana happens to be our family favourite and the Cast Members there feel like our real cousins, not to mention the peel-n-eat shrimp, and that delectable 'Ohana Bread Pudding - don’t miss the bountiful family-style breakfast there, Sylvia, or at the nearby Kona Café where you must try the Tonga Toast!

In consideration of the approximate times for our beloved Electrical Water Pageant and fireworks spectacular, Disney Enchantment, I would recommend booking dinner at 'Ohana at approximately between 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM ET to allow you a leisurely dinner and then afford you time to find a nice viewing spot on the beach near Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

Typically, the Electrical Water Pageant begins periodically between 8:35 PM to 10:30 PM ET, and the Disney Enchantment fireworks typically begin around 8:00 PM ET (subject to change). Please keep a close watch over our Walt Disney World Resort calendar schedules located in the “Parks & Tickets” tab in your Disney account, for precise timing approximately 60-days before your intended visit, and this is also when you can make your Disney Dining Reservations.

Sylvia, you may wish to familiarize yourself with the new Disney Genie and Disney Genie+ service which optimizes your theme park touring, and the Disney Park Pass reservation system using valid theme park admission in advance of your arrival.

Pro Tip - save room for those delicious DOLE Whip® pineapple desserts from Pineapple Lanai on your way to the beach after dinner!

I hope this information is helpful, and I wish you a most spectacular visit, Sylvia!

Best Disney wishes from a fellow Canadian ~ Jacqueline
