Hi, If i wanted to decorate my hotel room for xmas, what would be the best way to "ship" stuff (tree, ?) ahead of me? Who would recieve it if I hadn't arrived yet? Also what is the best way to decorate for xmas in a small room without spending a fo

    Hi Danielle,

You can certainly ship your small artificial christmas tree or other christmas decorations to yourself at your WDW Resort.  You could also order a tree, etc.. from the Disney Florist to be waiting for you in your room on check-in, but this is quite costly and is not really for someone on a budget.  If you would like to ship your own christmas "stuff" then I would check with the courier company (i.e FedEx, UPS, etc..) how long they would estimate your package to arrive and send the package according to these time guidelines.  If your package should arrive before you, then they will "hold/store" it at your WDW Resort until you arrive.  Make sure you print the person’s name that the reservation is under, the resort address, your arrival date and reservation number on the outside of the package.  It is also helpful to contact the Guest Relations at your WDW Resort and let them know you will be shipping ahead a package for when you arrive and they can make a note of this on your file.

I have seen so many guests decorate their rooms for Christmas as well as other holidays and it can definitely be done without spending too much.  I would suggest bringing or shipping some simple strings of christmas lights (so you can decorate the window, etc..) and maybe some window decals, hanging christmas decorations for the walls or your front door to your room.  There are so many cost efficient ways of doing this and you may even have all of the decorations you need "on hand" so it's just a case of bringing them with you and it won't cost you anything extra.  If you have a car, you could also drive to the local Target or Wallmart store to do a bit of shopping to save on shipping costs.  Use your imagination and let the holiday juices flow...I am sure you will come up with some ideas that really won't cost you much at all.  Have a magical Christmas at Walt Disney World!

    Best wishes,
