I wanted to check if the Disney Magic has cooking classes or anything related to nutrition. I am on weight watchers and still want to eat healthy and learn about nutritious meals. Thanks!

    Hi, Kathleen:

While there is no official guide to the Weight Watchers system on the Disney fleet of ships, it is reasonably easy to eat healthfully and get your Activity Points in, too.

Each restaurant and quick service location offers a variety of healthy options; fresh fruit is readily available for snacking. You are always free to modify a menu item to your liking. In fact, if you have particular dietary concerns or needs (e.g., low sodium, low fat, etc.), you may ask to speak directly with the chef, who will work with you to design the perfect meal for your Points and your palate.

Don't forget that you can do a great deal of walking all over the ship. You might even want to invest in a small pedometer to see for yourself how many steps you are taking in one day!

The Magic offers a beautiful adults-only fitness center, loaded with cardio machines and weight-training equipment. There are also group fitness classes available.

Every night, you will receive your Personal Navigator, a schedule of onboard activities for the next day. You will find a variety of cooking demonstrations and nutrition seminars offered during your cruise. Just check the time and location and you're ready to learn!

    Have a wonderful time!

    See you later, celebrator!
