Hi there, Luis! Welcome to planDisney!
August is just around the corner! I'm sure you're not-so-patiently awaiting your arrival at The Happiest Place on Earth! Before you know it, you'll be eating all the Mickey-shaped treats your heart desires and galavanting around your favorite park with the ones you love! Be sure to check out a
Nighttime Spectacular during your visit. It is a nice little pixie-dusted ending to the perfect park day!
Great news, Luis. You actually do not need to request a refund in order to change parks. You will need to cancel your theme park reservation for
Disneyland Park and make a new one for
Disney California Adventure Park, but there will not be a price difference unless you choose a new date where the ticket is higher in price. Here's what you should do.
1. Check the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar to make sure that Disney California Adventure Park is available the day you plan to visit. There is nothing less magical than canceling one theme park reservation just to find out that the other park is fully booked that day. So we want to make sure to avoid this before we get down to business!
2. If you see that Disney California Adventure Park is available for the date you'd like to switch to, cancel your current theme park reservation. If you need further information on how to do this, one of my fellow panelists outlines the
cancellation process here.3.
Make a new park reservation.
4. If you'd like to confirm your new theme park reservation, visit the
Disneyland Resort Website and hover over the "My Disneyland" icon. Select "Ticket and Reservation Details" to find all of your active tickets and park reservations.
