Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Julia!
Traveling with a 2-year-old to the Disneyland Resort is both incredibly amazing and a bit tiring. You’ll definitely want to use a stroller while you are here. You can
rent a stroller for use in both parks for a daily fee, or you can bring your own. Using a stroller is the safest and quickest way to maneuver around the parks with a child and I love that it also provides a space for the child to nap and areas to store all your essentials.
My next tip is to make a plan for which attractions and entertainment offerings you want to experience with your daughter. When my child was 2, she was a big fan of “it’s a small world,” Dumbo the Flying Elephant, The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, and the Enchanted Tiki Room. You will also want to take time to explore Mickey’s Toontown. This area is perfect for little ones as they can safely climb, play, and run around Goofy’s Playhouse, Donald’s Boat, and Chip n’ Dale Treehouse. You can even meet Mickey and Minnie in their houses here!
Finally, bring some snacks that your child enjoys and plan for naptime. If you are staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you can easily walk back to the room for a rest. Or if you plan to remain in the parks, there are lots of little nooks and benches where you can enjoy a quiet respite away from the hustle and bustle. You will also want to visit the
Baby Care Centers which are wonderfully comfortable places to change diapers, feed your child, or to just take a little break.
Sending your daughter early birthday wishes and I hope you both have a fabulous time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
