I wanted to book a vacation for my family of 4 how can i do that?

    Hey there, Lexy!

Thanks for visiting planDisney! It's really wonderful that you're starting to plan your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. You've come to the best place, as I see it, for sage suggestions from those in the Disney know. As planDisney Panelists, we're always happy to share our pixie-dusted pointers we've picked up along the way from our own many family vacations at Disney destinations.

Here's my recommendation for booking your Walt Disney World Resort vacation for your family of four: begin with the "Book your Walt Disney World Vacation today" vacation package tools. The vacation package planning tools will take you through putting together a vacation package that's just right for your family.  As you begin, know that you can get assistance from the Walt Disney Travel Company by calling them at (407) 939-7675. You might also want to look into Special Offers, Deals & Discounts

Simply begin by entering your desired check-in and check-out dates, and some info about the number of adults and children in your vacation party. I think you'll quickly see lots of great choices that are part of the Disney Resorts Collection. What I appreciate most about the Disney Resorts Collection is that you'll enjoy a great combination of Disney theming, desirable amenities, and delightful comfort.

With so many choices for where to stay, you might find yourself asking "How can I possibly choose?" This is where I recommend you think about your vacationing style. Do you want to be so close to theme park fun that you can walk to a park? Maybe consider a Magic Kingdom Area Resort or an EPCOT Area Resort. Looking for a getaway vibe that transports you to a lush savanna? Maybe consider Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. Looking for an at-home feel with comfy living space, full kitchen, and more? Then maybe consider a Deluxe Villa. I think no matter which hotel from the Disney Resorts Collection you choose, your vacation will truly feel like you are staying in the magic.

The vacation package planning features will also step you through purchasing theme park tickets. You can purchase tickets for the number of days you want to visit the theme parks. I always recommend adding the Park Hopper Option that lets you visit more than one theme park in the same day.

Lexy, here is one important planning tip I'd like to emphasize. Before you book your vacation package and purchase your theme park tickets, be sure to check out the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar. You'll want to see that the theme parks have reservation availability for the dates you wish to visit. After you book your vacation package with your theme park tickets, you'll want to make your theme park reservations using the Disney Park Pass system.

With your Disney Resorts Collection accommodations booked, your theme park tickets purchased, and your theme park reservations made, you'll have the big parts of your vacation planning completed. You'll likely have questions about dining, attractions, entertainment, getting around, and more. When these questions come up, please ask us here at planDisney. We're here for you and happy to help!

Enjoy all your Walt Disney World Resort vacation magic!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
