I wanted to book my tickets in advance so I can ensure that the ticket won't be sold out. If for some reason someone in my parties cannot go, will the ticket be good for a certain amount of time?

    Hi Linda,

Are you ready to enjoy all the magic at the Disneyland Resort? Are you excited to visit "The Happiest Place on Earth"? It sounds like the answer to both questions is "Yes!" It's great to hear you're looking to purchase your tickets and make your theme park reservations in advance.

I'm happy to share that, yes, your Disneyland Resort theme park tickets will be valid for a certain period of time. When you purchase your theme park tickets, you'll see the dates for which your theme park tickets will be valid. You'll be able to see this information whether you purchase on the Theme Park Tickets & Reservations page on the website, or purchase them through the Disneyland Resort mobile app. For example, a one-day theme park ticket that you would purchase today would be valid through December 30, 2022.

Linda, it's also helpful to know that if your unused tickets should expire, the current policy is that you can still make use of your purchase by applying the amount you paid for the tickets towards the purchase of new theme park tickets.

One tip, Linda, is to be sure to make your theme park reservations to visit the parks. You can make your theme park reservations at the same time that you purchase your theme park tickets. If it happens that you make theme park reservations for a Guest in your party, and that Guest cannot go to the parks on the reserved day, you can cancel their reservation using the "My Theme Park Reservations" feature in your Disney account.

Linda, the planDisney panelists are here for you and ready to share suggestions to help you plan for a most magical visit. If you have more questions, please just ask away!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
