Hello, because I wanted to attend both parks I had to separate my days. I was wondering how covid 19 tests affected this?

Hi there, Loretta! Welcome back to planDisney!

Your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth is just around the corner! I'm sure everyone in your travel party is bursting with anticipation, ready to grab a bite of that Mickey waffle and make their way down Main Street U.S.A. I'm not sure if you've heard the great news, but a few of the beloved nighttime spectaculars are returning to the Disneyland Resort before you arrive! That means you can feast your eyes on World of ColorDisneyland Forever Fireworks and The Main Street Electrical Parade during your vacation!

Loretta, the Disneyland Resort has taken a gradual approach to "returning to a land of magic" during the pandemic. The health and safety of all Guests and Cast Members are a top priority, so I think I speak on behalf of everyone when I say thank you for taking the care and precaution to ask about COVID-19 testing for your trip. The Disneyland Resort and the State of California both strongly encourage Guests to be fully vaccinated or obtain a negative COVID-19 test result before visiting, but it is not required for entry. You will not be asked for proof of vaccination or proof of COVID-19 test results at any point during your stay. Therefore, any negative test results you obtain before visiting will simply be for your peace of mind and the safety of others. The timing of your test results will not affect your entry into either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. If you happen to obtain a positive test result, you should stay home and reschedule your visit for a time that is safe for you and others.

Face coverings are also optional at the Disneyland Resort, based on guidance from health officials. However, there are certain areas of the resort, including health-based areas and Disneyland transportation, where face coverings will be required by all Guests regardless of vaccination status. Make sure you bring an appropriate face covering with you during your visit to be prepared for times like these!

Loretta, thank you again for sending this very important question our way. I hope this trip to the Disneyland Resort is your happiest one yet!

    Until next time,

    Ashley
