I wanted to ask about tipping in Club Level as I know BellHops and Table Service staff need to be tipped a lot in the normal hotel setting but we have never stayed Club Level before and want to make sure we tip correctly.

Hi there, Claire—welcome to planDisney! You've got a friend in me, and I can't wait to help answer your question today.

It sounds like you need some “tips” for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation (sorry, I can't resist a bit of gratuitous humor....) regarding your Club level stay. Club level accommodations are available at all Walt Disney World Deluxe Resort Hotels and Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, featuring food and beverage offerings throughout the day, concierge services, and a dedicated team of Cast Members that go the distance to supply some extra magic to your stay.

Our family recently enjoyed a Club level stay at the Stone Harbor Club at Disney’s Beach Club Resort and it was truly a treat!  We took full advantage of the delicious food and beverage offerings, starting our day with breakfast and a specialty coffee and often winding down in the evenings with an assortment of desserts that we enjoyed on our balcony.

In particular, the Concierge staff were a tremendous help to us as one of my daughters had an injury and we had never navigated Walt Disney World with crutches and a wheelchair before. They helped us secure a wheelchair rental, shared some great transportation tips, and even found us a last-minute dining reservation after I had given up!

Claire, I am sure these hard-working Cast Members appreciate you thinking ahead about tipping!  While not all Cast Members are allowed to accept tips (when in doubt, you can always ask!), in general, when staying at Club Level it's appropriate to tip Bell Services, Housekeeping, Dining Attendants in the Club lounges, and Concierge staff.

If you experience some extra-magical service at any time during your Walt Disney World vacation, I also recommend sending a Cast Compliment via the My Disney Experience App to ensure that the individual receives some extra recognition for a job well done!  From the home screen, scroll down to “Cast Compliment” and enter some information about the encounter. It’s a nice way to dig a little deeper to thank the Cast Members who tirelessly make magic for us!

Claire, I hope you are counting down the days until your Walt Disney World vacation! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney--please visit us again if we can help with additional questions.

    See Ya Real Soon!
