Hi, I just wanted to ask about ID for purchasing alcohol. I am sure my husband and I will not be asked for ID but if we do will our UK driving licence and copy of our passports be suitable? We are told not to carry our passports around with us when abroad.

    Hi Suzanne,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

As a fellow international traveller, I can understand not wanting to bring your Passport with you when you’re touring the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks. Although your belongings should be perfectly safe throughout your Disney Day, I’d be worried about the consequences of my own absentmindedness… and the likelihood that I’d probably lose my Passport while sampling all that Epcot's World Showcase has to offer!

I haven’t had any problems using my Canadian drivers license whenever I’ve been asked for identification, either for alcohol purchases or other instances where it might be needed, such as for using an Annual Passholder Program discount or other perk. I also have a picture of my passport in my phone, just in case it’s needed, but no one has ever asked to see. I’d recommend that you do the same during your visit to Walt Disney World Resort, just to be on the safe side.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,
    Lynne
