Hi! Just wanted to ask if bringing a full frame camera with a cage, top handle and monitor is allowed? Only for personal use and not for commercial purposes. Thank you!

    Welcome to planDisney, Harvey.

I love making and recording magical memories at the Disneyland Resort. It seems that's something you enjoy too.

"With great power comes great responsibility."

To make the experience of visiting the Disneyland Resort as enjoyable as possible for all Guests, there are certain items not permitted. When Disneyland Resort theme park Guests pass through security, the Cast Members there have discretion over which items may be permitted. Because professional cameras or recording equipment are mentioned in the list of items that may not be allowed, I can't say for sure that your rig will or will not be permitted. I still want to help you have the best experience you can. So I have two recommendations to consider. First, you may wish to contact the Disneyland Resort for additional guidance. Second, if you take your camera rig with you, I recommend giving yourself enough time to return your equipment to secure storage during your visit and/or having a possible backup plan in place in case Security Cast Members deny admittance with the rig. That said, I have been seeing more and more high-end rigs being used by regular Guests throughout the Disneyland Resort lately. Depending on what you have, it may be that your particular camera setup will be OK.

There are certainly plenty of wonderful experiences to enjoy during your visit to the Disneyland Resort, Harvey. A visit to Walt Disney's Original Magic Kingdom during its 70th Anniversary is an amazing treat. With spectacular entertainment, including my favorite parade, and many other new or limited-time dining, attractions, and other experiences, it's a sensational time to experience The Happiest Place on Earth!

    Have a magical time, Harvey!
