Hi Hector!
Welcome to planDisney! We're so glad that you're hEAR!
There is nothing that I love more than a good Disneyland parade. Daytime, nighttime, I love them all. But what I love even more is having a dedicated spot to enjoy them from. The iron benches that are up and down
Main Street U.S.A. are on a first-come, first-served basis. I've seen families kind of stake a claim to these sturdy seats hours before showtime by parking all of the bags and jackets, and maybe even a grandparent or two. There are benches along the sidewalk that curves around the
flagpole, some in front of
Plaza Inn, and a few more in front of
Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe. Warning though, the benches that are near the Castle may be used to set up seating for Club 33 Members, VIP Tour Groups, specially invited guests, etc, so if you see benches that are set up to face the castle near the Mickey and Walt 'Partners' statue then book it to the other end of the street to find a seat.
One of the things that local Keyholders do is bring a blanket to spread out on the sidewalk to kind of claim a little bit of space. When I lived nearby this was a tried and true method on days that just my son and I visited together. Warning though: as it gets closer to showtime, people will try to encroach in your space, especially if they see some spot of blanket not actively being sat upon.
There are also some paid versions to have a dedicated viewing area, Hector, mostly in the form of
Dining Packages and
dessert parties like what's currently available for
World of Color and the
Main Street Electrical Parade. A few that are set to come back soon are packages for
Fantasmic!, but also a special
rooftop fireworks lounge experience. Lastly, if someone in your party can't stand for long periods of time and needs a bench for a long, restful sit, look into the
Disability Access Service that can assist Guests with
mobility issues in all kinds of ways, including entrance to special viewing sections at various entertainment options.
I hope that this helped to clEAR up your question, Hector! Be sure to follow the
