Hello, Lindsay! Thanks for trusting your vacation planning questions to us here at planDisney!
I'm so excited to have received your question about Halloween festivities because chatting with fellow Guests about the seasonal events at Disneyland Resort is one of my very favorite things to do! I'm pleased to confirm that the spirited thrills and frightful chills of
Halloween Time are slated to return to Disneyland Resort in Fall 2023, although the exact dates have yet to be formally announced. In 2022, the Halloween celebrations began September 2 and ran all the way through October 31. The Disney Parks Blog is the best source of
official announcements on seasonal celebrations (and more) and it is my go-to resource when looking for the latest updates and Disney Parks news. Last year, I used the '
Halfway to Halloween' series posts to help plan my family's Fall visit and it was a fun way to prepare for our trip with
at-home crafts, treats, activities, and of course - planning tips for our Halloween Time vacation.
Now, Lindsay, you may have heard of the after-hours, separately-ticketed event,
Oogie-Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party. It is a fan favorite with 24 event nites throughout the Halloween season to enjoy special live entertainment, immersive trick-or-treat trails, the "Frightfully Fun Parade," and unique character experiences that you won't typically see anywhere else. It's hauntingly delightful! Because capacity is limited at these events, those tickets sell out very quickly, so if this is a priority for you and your family, I suggest you keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for the formal announcements on when Oogie Boogie Bash tickets will become available. Last year, this was announced in mid-June.
Other Halloween Time favorites in my family include the transformation of Cars Land and 'Radiator Screams' in Disney California Adventure Park along with the incredible seasonal overlay on Haunted Mansion Holiday. The Halloween seasonal decor and experiences are offered all over the Disneyland Resort - including the Downtown Disney District and the Disneyland Resort Hotels, so no matter where you spend your time, you're in for some absolutely spellbinding fun!
I hope this helps for now, Lindsay, but please
come back with any other questions as your visit approaches. Until then, Happy Haunts!
