Juan from CUNDINAMARCA Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

We wanna go to the Animal Kingdom Lodge on September, but not sure if my sister will be able to go until the end of August, so I was thinking on doing a Room Only reservation (due cancel rules) and by the end of August buy the tickets. Any advice

Hi Juan! Fall is an exciting time for a visit to Walt Disney World. The great Epcot Food and Wine Festival starts up September 14 this year giving many more guests an opportunity to enjoy.

Definitely get a room reservation at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The fall is becoming a more popular time for visits so you want to be sure to have that confirmed. You can cancel up to five days out for full refund so under your circumstances this certainly makes sense.  Once your plans are finalized you can purchase your tickets on line or even wait until you arrive.

When you have your room reservation I would recommend you also go ahead and get some dining reservations for your stay. If you must cancel the trip you can also cancel these dining times but to wait for dining you will likely be disappointed as times go quickly. Check out all the options for Dining at Disney.

I hope all your plans will work out as I know you will have a great Disney vacation if you are able to come in September!
