Wandering about drink packages Alcohol as well as pop

Welcome to planDisney, Mary! From the moment I saw the word “pop” in your question, I knew you were a kindred cruise spirit, so I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to support you today.

You’ll find plenty of ways to partake in the beverage of your choice aboard your Disney Cruise. While you won’t see traditional all-inclusive drink packages aboard Disney Cruise Line, there are several ways to save your Disney dollars on drinks.

Let me start off by saying that pop is included at meals and Beverage Stations around the ship. There is a charge for non-alcoholic drinks at the bars and lounges on board, so just make sure you fill up at the free-flowing spots before heading into activities like trivia or bingo. One of my favorite tips is to bring your own favorite insulated cup on board to keep those drinks cool and easily identifiable from other members of your party.

When it comes to alcoholic beverages, I suggest taking advantage of Disney Cruise Line’s generous policy for Guests 21 and older. You may bring a maximum of 2 bottles of unopened wine or champagne (no larger than 750 ml) or 6 beers (no larger than 12 ounces) on board at the beginning of the voyage and each port of call. If you choose this option, pack these in your carry-on, not your checked baggage.

Even though Gaston turned down LeFou’s offer of more beer, you might enjoy knowing that you can purchase a Beer Mug Savings Program from Onboard Gifts. When you bring this branded mug to the bar, you’ll enjoy a 21 oz. refill of beer for the price of a 16 oz. (You can also carry a token with you to reap the savings without the weight of the mug).

Onboard Gifts is also where to go before your cruise to find other packages to save on alcoholic drinks like wine, hard seltzer, and even 6-packs of beer.

My fellow planDisney cruise specialist, Dustin, suggested some more great tips for saving while enjoying a drink on deck, so be sure to check out his advice while you’re here. If you have other questions that arise before your sailing, I hope you’ll visit us again at planDisney.

    Cheers!
