With the W&D 1/2 registration a month away I am starting to took ahead at planning my stay. Is there a resort discount for runners and do you have the option and/or requirement of booking your room at the same time as registering for the event?

Hi Joshua!  The Wine and Dine half marathon is my favorite runDisney event!
There will be resort discounts and theme park ticket discounts available for runners when you register.  (You don't have to have a theme park ticket, but you can buy them at a discount if you wish).  The event details for the 2012 Wine and Dine half marathon are not posted yet, so keep checking back to the runDisney Wine and Dine website page for the information.  They will list the host resorts (these are the resorts that will be discounted and will also provide free bus transportation to all race events).  There will be directions posted that give you information on what number to call to get the runner discount on rooms.  You will also be given a password upon completing your registration to get your discount on theme park tickets. You do not have to book your room at the same time as you register for the race to receive the room discount.  You can always book your resort at a later date.

Again, this should all be posted very soon on the website, but feel free to check back with me with any questions you have!
