Hiya Maria!
Welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet, and thank you so much for sending us your question! I am honoured to be a part of your planning journey, and I am so excited for you to create new magical memories at the Walt Disney World Resort! I also see that you are a fellow Canadian. How excited are you to leave the Canadian cold for the warm Florida weather? I know that was always one of my favourite parts of a Disney vacation.
As an Annual Passholder, I am in the exact same boat as you, Maria! This year only, I have visited the Walt Disney World Resort every weekend, and things can definitely get a bit repetitive. However, there are a few things I like to do to enjoy the Disney parks in a different way! First, I would highly recommend visiting the different Disney Resorts hotels and grabbing a snack at their amazing quick service locations. I cannot recommend the Mac and Cheese at
Gasparilla Island Grill, located at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and what better snack to get on a sunny day than a
Dole Whip at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort? If you love the Kilimanjaro Safaris as much as I do, be sure to stop by Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge for a unique view of the animals, and you simply have to try the famous
Zebra Domes while you are there. Finish your night at the beach by Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for a unique (and crowd-free) view of Disney's Enchantment! You can even get a snack and sit down to watch a
movie under the stars or roast marshmallows by the fire.
Second, if you are looking to switch up your time in the theme parks, some of my favourite things to do include trying out a different snack and watching the fireworks from a different location. On my last trip to Magic Kingdom Park, I finally tried the famous
Frozen Mint Julep Lemonade over at Casey's Corner and sipped it while watching the cavalcades go down Main Street USA. Some of my other favourite treats include Mr. Kamal's Fries at Disney's Animal Kingdom, and the
Glimmer and Shimmer Pineapple Mousse from Trolley Car Café (exclusively for the 50th anniversary.) Then, watch the fireworks from a different location. I have always wanted to watch the fireworks from the
Swiss Family Treehouse over in Adventureland, but Fantasyland also offers an amazing view. You will feel like the fireworks are right above you! If you are up for a challenge, you could even try and watch Harmonious from the
Disney Skyliner. Finally, don't forget that new entertainment is returning to the theme parks, including the new
Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire starting on February 25th, 2022.
I hope this gave you some ideas, Maria, and that you have the best day ever on your next Disney vacation! If you have any other questions about planning your magical visit or need more snack suggestions, we are always happy to help (and we LOVE Disney snacks!)
Have a magical day and see ya real soon,
Ariane
