Walt Disney World Resorts how far in advance do you need to book a resort. Seems like the dates that i choose the options are not available.

    Hi Amy,

Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by with your question about booking a Walt Disney World vacation in the spring of 2027.

Hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection are now accepting reservations through October 31, 2027. But those reservations just opened within the last few days, so I suspect you may have been checking before bookings for May were available.

You should be good to go now. I did a quick search, and it looks like there's availability at all resort levels -- value, moderate and deluxe -- for your planned dates.

Please note that all 2027 prices I see posted are the standard rates. Special offers for that period likely won't be released until about six months in advance. If you are nervous about availability, you can always book now and then make modifications when the new deals are released. You can make changes in your My Disney Experience account or by calling the Tickets and Hotel Reservations line.

If you want to wait to make your reservations, I'd suggest keeping an eye on the Special Offers page of the website or the Disney Parks Blog this fall to see when special rates and packages are announced.

I hope that answers your question, Amy. Please check back with us any time if you have other questions or need recommendations for resorts, dining, attractions and discounts.

    Happy planning,

    Wilma
