What is a Walt Disney World Resort ticket media? I have linekd my tickets to my account already and do not plan to use magic bands. Are my tickets in the app and the physical ticket media the same thing?

Hey Howdy Hey Anna and welcome to planDisney!

Well, Anna, it sounds like you are on your way to being fully prepared for your upcoming trip with your Theme Park Tickets. Thank you for stopping by with your question about Walt Disney World Resort Ticket Media. I will be happy to give you more information on this so you are ready to go for your day in the parks.

Walt Disney World Ticket Media refers to a physical way you would access your tickets to present at the entrance to the parks. In the past, this would reference the physical ticket you would receive however that is less likely the case these days. Currently, you have several options to enter the parks. MagicBands is one way you can access your tickets and another is Disney MagicMobile Service. If you do not plan to use MagicBands, MagicMobile is the way to go. This is free to set up through your My Disney Experience app and once you do, this will be your way to access your tickets at the gate. You will typically have to put your smart device up to the tap points which they will then be connected and access should be granted! As long as your tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience account, you should be all set.

Anna, I am sure you are already aware but I wanted to give you a quick reminder about Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering. Through your My Disney Experience app, during your visit to the parks, you will have access to ordering food and drinks from local venues right from your smart device. Simply open your My Disney Experience app, select the three horizontal lines on the bottom right and then tap on the "Order Food" tile. This will allow you to order food anywhere in the parks and select a time you will be ready to pick up your order. As the time nears, you will be prompted through the app to select "I'm Here, Prepare My Order" and the Cast Members will get right on it. You will be notified when your order is ready and no need to stand in long lines. Another huge time saver when in the parks!

I hope this information was helpful and you are now another step closer to your day in the parks. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out and let us know, we are always happy to help!

    Have a Magical day,
