I have a Walt Disney World Resort Reservation on July 15, 2021 - July 18, 2021. When can I book dining reservations? I am so excited to go for my birthday!

Hello there, Ashleigh! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Your vacation to the most magical place on earth is in just a few short months. I bet you are getting so excited!

Ashleigh, you are able to make advanced dining reservations 60 days prior to your check-in date. If you are checking in July 15, 2021 by my calculations that puts your reservation day this upcoming Sunday, May 16, 2021. Dining reservations can be made online starting at 6:00 a.m. Mickey Mouse's time or over the phone by calling (407)WDW-DINE starting at 7:00 a.m. You will be able to make dining reservations for your entire trip if you would like.

Do you have some dining locations in mind for your trip, Ashleigh? Right now, my go-to restaurant is The BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs. It's a beautiful restaurant set right on the lake in Disney Springs. If you get an evening reservation and sit outside, it's the perfect spot to watch the sun go down and Disney Springs start to come alive with lights. There is something for everyone on the menu. My go-to order right now is the lobster roll served warm with butter and I always upgrade to the truffle fries. It is the most delicious meal at Walt Disney World right now and my mouth is watering while I type this. If you don't have a set dining list already, you should add this one to it. If you are looking to enjoy a character meal while celebrating your birthday, right now I am loving Topolino's Terrace - Flavors Of The Riviera at Disney's Riviera Resort. Their breakfast menu is really nice and who doesn't love seeing Mickey and the gang while dining! Topolino's Terrace - Flavors Of The Riviera has a set menu to order from, but this meal is actually all-you-care-to-enjoy. Your server will bring out a breadbasket for the table and then take your order. Feel free to order anything you'd like. I love the quiche but always get an order of Mickey waffles too, because they are just so good. Another sit-down restaurant I really enjoy is Chef Art Smith's Homecomin'. This spot is also at Disney Springs and serves up some of the best southern-style food I've ever had - and that's a big compliment since I live in North Carolina. You can find a really fun spin on southern favorites like their signature chicken and doughnuts entree, if you've never had it I think you should try it. So good!

Honestly, there are so many great dining spots at Walt Disney World my suggestion list could go on and on. If you have any other questions before your trip, Ashleigh, please feel free to come back and ask me. I'm here to help. I hope you have a fantastic birthday at Walt Disney World! Enjoy.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
