    When will the Walt Disney World Railroad at Magic Kingdom reopen? I sure miss those relaxing rides around the park!

    Hello Brittany and welcome aboard planDisney!

    Your great question enquiring about a reopening date for the iconic Walt Disney World Railroad - Main Street, U.S.A truly jumped right out at me today!  Like you, I miss the sights, sounds, and of course, the gentle relaxing rides onboard the antique carriages pulled by the Lilly Belle, Roy O. Disney, Roger E. Broggie, and Walter E. Disney steam engines as they circle the Magic Kingdom Park.

    As I type, I sadly don't have any updates for what's sure to be a grand reopening of the Walt Disney World Railroad.  I can only hope that maybe, an opening date might perhaps coincide with The World's Most Magical Celebration as Walt Disney World Resort commemorates its 50th yEAR beginning October 1st, 2021.  However, please do bear in mind that this is only my own personal hope and opinion!

    My best suggestion would be for you to keep a keen EAR on the Disney Parks Blog for any Disney-related announcements including the re-opening of the Walt Disney World Railroad. 

    Hopefully, after the Walt Disney World Railroad reopens to passengers it won't be too long until Disney's The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour is welcoming Guests once again too.  I've promised myself that one day I'll enjoy this 3-hour tour that explores the historic golden age of steam-powered engines.
