Ahoy Raymond!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for sending us this magical question! Wow, Raymond, can you believe that in just a few weeks, you will be setting sail on your magical vacation? That truly sounds like a Disney Dream, and I Wish I had such magical plans too. Travelling during the COVID pandemic can get a bit confusing, but we can figure it out together. You and me, we're in a club now!
As you probably know,
Disney Cruise Line Guests leaving US and Canadian ports must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result performed no more than two or three days before sailing depending on the type of test performed. Antigen tests must be done through a telehealth service, but NAAT and PCR tests in person are also accepted and may be purchased from third-party vendors or pharmacies. Being an international Guest myself, I have had to get tested while on my Disney trips many times, so there are a few service providers outside of Disney property that you can book your test with if you prefer to do it in person. You can find these service providers through a quick Google search, but Disney does not currently offer COVID testing at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Otherwise, you can use the telehealth service, which can be set up through the
Safe Passage website. If you get tested through the Safe Passage website, your test results are automatically uploaded, so you will not have to worry about uploading them yourself! Unfortunately, Disney does not currently offer internet services outside of their public Walt Disney World Guest WiFi. If you are experiencing issues connecting to the telehealth service or uploading your proof of negative COVID test, I would suggest reaching out to your Resort's front desk to see if they may be able to help. Otherwise, passengers who do not provide this test result by midnight are required to be tested at the terminal before boarding. While you will be responsible for the cost of this test, it does help to know that you have a backup plan! Also, make sure to revise the testing requirements for all members of your party, including little ones. Indeed, sailors under four are required to provide two proofs of negative tests, one of which is provided by Disney Cruise Line at the terminal before boarding.
For any other questions about testing requirements, you can also
contact Inspire Diagnostics by phone or email and they will be able to answer all of your questions.
I hope this was helpful, Raymond, and that you and your fellow mateys will have the best day ever on your upcoming Disney vacation. If you have any other questions or Wonder if we can help, don't hesitate to reach out. After all, a Wish is all you need to travel far!
Have a magical day,
Ariane
