Hi Michaela! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy! I'm so excited that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during the holiday season! While I've been there around the holidays, I have not had the chance to experience the magic on Christmas Day!
While the parks and resorts will be decorated with festive décor and holiday displays, select Walt Disney World restaurants will have special holiday offerings on Christmas Day! Many of the restaurants will have a special menu item to help celebrate the holiday.
Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will offer a prix-fixe holiday meal for lunch and dinner. In years past, they have offered a special all-you-care-to-enjoy holiday skillet, which usually has delicious moonshine-glazed ham as part of it. I can't wait to see what this year's menu will consist of!
Steakhouse 71 over at Disney's Contemporary Resort will have special selections on both their breakfast and dinner menus (Lunch will not be served on Christmas Day as the dinner menu will start at 11:30 AM). If you want to dine here the week leading up to Christmas Day or just after, there will be a special holiday brunch that will include Walt's Prime Rib Hash and Floridian Eggs Benedict.
Liberty Tree Tavern will always be a favorite during the holiday season. Their classic all-you-care-to-enjoy feast consists of roasted turkey, pot roast, mashed potatoes, herb stuffing, and plenty more. While this is their everyday menu, it's the perfect meal to have on this day! Before heading here for dinner, you'll be able to catch Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. There will be special viewings of this parade starting on December 23rd that will last throughout the week.
In addition to these options, many quick service locations will have a special menu offering on this day. Many of the food courts located in Disney's Value and Moderate Resorts will be serving a Christmas meal for all to enjoy. You have plenty of options to choose from on this day!
Michaela, I hope this helps you narrow down your selection. Make sure to book an Advanced Dining Reservation for any table-service restaurant you plan to eat at. Since you are within 60 days, now is the time to do so.
Have a magical vacation!
Greg
