Hi there, we are going to Walt Disney World this June. My husband and our 4 kids and also my Dad. It is my Dad's first trip to WDW is 34 years. What is the number one thing he needs to see?

Oh, come on, Melissa.  Do you really think it's fair to allow me just one thing?!  How about we compromise?  I'll suggest one thing in each park!

Magic Kingdom - Carousel of Progress because it's one thing that he'll (likely) recognize from his previous visit.

Hollywood Studios - Toy Story Mania because it offers an interactive experience where modern technology meets Disney imagineering.

Animal Kingdom - Finding Nemo - The Musical because it is the most innovative puppet show he'll ever see.  Not to mention entertaining.  Catchy.  Amazing.  (You get the picture...)

Epcot - Soarin' because (I'm going out on a limb here) but I'm guessing that someone from your dad's generation has a soft spot in his heart for a toy as classic as the erector set.  Imagine, then, taking him for a spin on an exhilarating attraction that was originally based on a erector set prototype.  You have to admit how cool that is.

I hope all of you make memories that last a lifetime!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
