    We will be in Walt Disney World Dec. 15 -21 - at the time of the premiere of The Last Jedi - will there be any special events surrounding the premiere in the parks?

    Hello Leanne and thanks for asking the Disney Parks Moms Panel such a galactically great question. 
    As one Star Wars fan to another I can absolutely relate to your question because my own family and I were lucky enough to have been staying at Walt Disney World Resort in December 2015 when Star Wars: The Force Awakens opened!
    I'm excited to tell you about Star Wars: The Last Jedi at Star Wars: Galactic Nights on December 16th this epic gala evening at Disney's Hollywood Studios is set to be out of this world; Galactic Nights is the perfect setting for all Jedi fans or wannabe Sith Lords and would be an ideal way to celebrate the latest in the Star Wars film saga. 
    Although I don't have anything official to share at present about any premier night event for the opening of Star Wars: The Last Jedi I can tell you about my own experiences of when The Force Awakens debuted.
    My top tip is to keep checking the Disney Parks Blog and on the day of the films release check out the area near AMC at Disney Springs 24 movie theatre where during the opening for Star Wars: The Force Awakens there was a red carpet to welcome Guests and Star Wars fans from all over the galaxy who were mostly dressed in their finest Star Wars inspired attire in readiness to see the much awaited film.  I had surprised my family with pre-purchased movie tickets and as an insider tip I would advise an early arrival at the theatre to allow good time to purchase snacks and get settled into your seats.
