Hello, I am going to Walt Disney world for 2 days in February 2024. Do I need to purchase my park tickets in advance or can I purchase them the day before I plan to go the parks? (Once I arrive in Orlando)

Hey, howdy, hey, Paul and welcome to planDisney. I am so glad you stopped by the most magical place on the internet for tips about your Disney vacation. Guests ask me, "How do you make your Disney trips so easy?" and "Why don't you wait in line forever?" My answer is always the same... "I plan."

If you will be at Walt Disney World Resort in February 2024, I recommend buying your tickets as soon as you have decided on your dates and definitely before you go because you will need an active ticket to reserve any Individual Lightning Lane Entry or Virtual Queue. Virtual Queue is not a new concept but it does take a valid ticket and quick fingers to get a Boarding Group for attractions that participate. I recommend you watch some online videos for tips on how to get a Boarding Group. Another reason is that theme park ticket prices may increase so now will be the best value.

planDisney Pro Tip: Advance table service dining reservations may be made 60 days in advance. Some restaurants like Space 220 Restaurant, Chef Mickey's, and Beaches & Cream Soda Shop are very popular and reservations fill quickly. All the restaurants and their menus are found on the Walt Disney World Resort website and the My Disney Experience Mobile App. I recommend you decide where to eat and be ready at 6:00 AM EST to make your reservations.

Paul, I hope this information helps decide when to purchase your tickets. Please feel free to write me back directly with any follow-up questions.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
