It’s so heartwarming to hear about the passion your teen has with trains and how it fits right into the history of Walt Disney’s love for trains and railroads! Whenever I arrive at the Magic Kingdom the first thing I do is look up at the Walt Disney World Railroad and think of Walt riding his own train in his backyard!
Looking forward to your trip in March, unfortunately, Disney’s The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour is not operating and there hasn’t been an announcement of a return date. Keep a close eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for any new details about this tour returning or a new tour taking its place.
Jennifer I know that you and your son will enjoy the
Walt Disney World Railroad to take a nostalgic and leisurely ride around the
Magic Kingdom! I always find something new to see each time I travel around the park on one of the vintage steam trains!
I was humbled this past month to be able to take a tour of Walt’s office and archives in California. You could see his love for the railroad, and it was an honor to see his passion in person. It sounds like your son has the same passion!
I would love for your train loving teen to keep chugging along with his dream to someday yell all aboard on the Walt Disney World Railroad! Next stop:
Disney College Program! Have him check out the opportunities for college students who can build a network of lifetime connections and friendships!
