Hey there, Joe, and welcome to planDisney! With
Disney’s 50th Anniversary Celebration and
EPCOT’s International Flower & Garden Festival bringing new offerings into the mix, now is such a great time to visit Disney World! Let’s help you figure out Genie+ so that your vacation can go to the next level!
Joe, the best way to make sure that your entire party receives the same attraction return window is to link everyone together in your
Family & Friends List. The Family & Friends List allows large groups to make dining reservations, book Genie+ and Lightning Lane Entrances, and Mobile Order food for the entire party. Once everyone is linked in the Family & Friends list, your divide and conquer strategy sounds perfect to me!
If you’re staying in a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can book your first Genie+ attraction and purchase Individual Lightning Lane attractions starting at 7 a.m. the morning of your Theme Park Day. So at the 7 a.m. reservation drop, I would assign one person to book the first
Genie+ reservation, one person to book an
Individual Lightning Lane Entrance. No need to worry, this strategy will ensure that your entire party receives the same attraction return time. After the morning reservation rush and you are in the parks, I recommend designating one person as the keeper of the Genie+ reservations. Since you can only book one Genie+ reservation at a time, in my experience, you don’t need multiple people in the app making reservations in the Theme Parks.
If you’re not staying onsite, you can still book your first Genie+ reservation at 7 a.m., but you can not purchase your first Individual Lightning Lane Entrance until the Theme Park officially opens.
I hope this helps, Joe. In just a few short weeks you’ll be eating all of the Disney Snacks! I think that means it’s time to get excited!
To Infinity and Beyond,
PG
