Hi! Is the walkway and swing bridge between the Grand Floridian Resort and Magic Kingdom Park always open? I'm planning to walk to the Magic Kingdom on Oct. 1 and would hate to learn it is closed at the bridge that morning. Thanks

    Hi Vanessa!

Wow! You will be in the Magic Kingdom for the 50th Anniversary Celebration! This could be one of your best days ever! How thrilling to be one of the first people on the planet to enjoy Disney Enchantment! You can catch a glimpse of Mickey and Minnie in their new glimmering outfits and maybe discover some special merchandise to commemorate your visit.

The walkway between Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and the Magic Kingdom is typically open during the peak morning hours. If repairs or other reasons result in a closure, a sign at the beginning of the path will clearly state the walkway is not open. This will give you notice before you even hit the trail, so you have no worries about wasting precious park time with having to turn around.

Enjoy the fabulous 50th! I'm working hard on not being overly envious.
