are walking sticks/canes with seats allowed in the parks

Hey there, Maggie! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

Is there anything better than planning a Walt Disney World vacation? Well, going on a Walt Disney World vacation might be better, but there’s a lot of fun to be had during the planning process. With 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, over 25 resort hotels, and an amazing assortment of dining options, the magical possibilities are nearly endless!

Canes or walking sticks are not on the list of prohibited items and can be used at Walt Disney World. It’s unlikely to be an issue, but security Cast Members may ask to inspect your walking stick or cane, and they reserve the right to prohibit items not included in the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules. If you need additional assistance while visiting Walt Disney World, Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) and wheelchairs are available for rent at all Walt Disney World theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs.

A trip to Walt Disney World can involve a lot of walking, so it’s always good to know where you’re going. Make sure you’ve downloaded the My Disney Experience mobile app and that you take advantage of its directions feature. Not only will it give you step-by-step directions to most locations, it will also display estimated travel times and all your available transportation options, such as bus, monorail, water taxi, and Skyliner.

I hope this information helps with your holiday planning, Maggie. Pop right back if you have any other questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!

    Magical travels!
