Hiya Maureen,
Welcome to planDisney! Can you believe that you are just over a month from being at the Most Magical Place on Earth? Before you know it, you will be taking in the magic of the holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort. Be sure to stop by
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays during your visit; it runs until December 30th and is one of my favorites.
I took a peek at the official
property rules, and folding chairs are not permitted in any theme park, water park, or Disney Springs. That said, if you are a Guest requiring assistance
waiting in the attraction queues, there is an accommodation that enables you to have a cane chair (or walker with a seat). Now this may not be permitted at all attractions, but you can ask the Cast Member before you queue if you can use your cane chair in the line. Also, be mindful not to obstruct entrances, sidewalks, corridors, stairways, etc. I’ve also heard that it is a good idea to label your walking stick so you can keep track of it and return it if it gets misplaced. You can also see all other accommodations available to Guests with disabilities on the
website.
I hope this was helpful, Maureen. Before I let you go, I mentioned EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays already, but I also wanted to share the
foodie guide with you. The menus have been released in advance of the festival kickoff in a few days, and there are so many yummy choices that it is hard for me to pick which ones I’m most excited about. I hope you have a magical trip, and please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
