How much walking distance is it from the Disneyland Hotel to Pixar Place Hotel? (I’m asking because I’ve heard that’s the only location where you can meet & greet with Bing Bong from “Inside Out” and Joe Gardner from “Soul”)

Greetings, Gunnar! Thanks for popping by planDisney.

Pixar Place Hotel is looking great these days! The new renovation is something I recommend checking out, and I'm happy to report that it is a short (5-10 minute) walk from the Disneyland Hotel. In addition to meeting your friend who likes to play - Bing Bong, Bing Bong - be sure to check out the Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Maple Bacon Doughnuts at Great Maple Modern American Eatery and take a peak at STOR-E for souvenirs.

Gunnar, both Joe Gardner and Bing Bong have been seen around the Pixar Place Hotel at select times. You may want to check with a friendly Cast Member at the hotel to see the best time to spot them. There have also been a lot of Pixar pals meeting at Disney California Adventure Park lately for Pixar Fest. Mei Mei from Turning Red was a lovely surprise during my last visit.

Hopefully, your visit coincides with Pixar Fest, which is going on throughout the Disneyland Resort now through August 4, 2024. I recently got to see the "Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!" parade at Disney California Adventure Park, and I loved that it included old Pixar friends and many new ones! I also loved checking out the Festival Marketplaces - the Gusteau Macaron and the Red Panda Bao were standouts.

I hope this information helps with your planning, Gunnar. If you have any more questions, you've got a friend in me!

    To infinity… and beyond,
    Melissa
