Can I use my walker at Disneyworld?

    Hi Bonnie!

It sounds like you are getting ready for a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation! There are so many incredible attractions, entertainment events, shows and experiences for all Guests to enjoy and I know you are going to have a fantastic trip.

Walkers are allowed in the Walt Disney World Resort theme park. However, keep in mind that there is quite a bit of walking involved when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs. So I recommend that you consider renting an ECV (Electric Conveyance Vehicle), which will help you get around much more easily. You can even rent an ECV from one of the Disney Featured Providers, which will allow you to use your ECV for the duration of your trip!

Walt Disney World Resort takes great care to ensure that Guests who need mobility assistance are supported during their visit. For additional information, I recommend that you contact Disability Services so they can give you specific information about how you can be accommodated during your visit. You will find that there are many attractions that you can you enjoy while remaining in an ECV or wheelchair. I recommend that you bring a cane or walker with you if you need help transferring from your ECV for attractions that require you to transfer to their ride vehicle. We brought my grandfather with us on a Walt Disney World Resort vacation several years ago and the ECV he rented allowed us to enjoy our trip with the rest of the family so he didn't have to worry about missing anything!

    T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
