Hi Chelsea! Welcome to planDisney!
Mickey and Minnie hold court at the Happiest Place on Earth and ensure the magic is as accessible as possible to all Guests. With that in mind, I'm happy to report that walkers are permitted within the parks to make your visit (and your personal magic carpet ride) as smooth as can be. Other
mobility devices that are allowed include cane chairs and seat-walker mobility aids, as well as wheeled devices that have 3 or more wheels and do not exceed 36" in width and 52" in length. Additionally,
wheelchairs and ECVs are available for rent at the Stroller Shop just outside the gates of Disneyland Park on a first-come, first-serve basis. Most attractions will also have an area where you can leave your walker while enjoying the ride either where you load into the vehicle or where you disembark. If you are unsure about the procedure for a particular attraction, just ask a friendly Cast Member - they are always happy to help!
The Disneyland website has a
guide for guests visiting with mobility disabilities which may be worth a quick read through so you know what services will be available to you. Additionally, the
Disneyland App holds information on accessibility for every attraction. When you pull up the app, tap the magnifying glass icon and search for the attraction. Scroll to the "Accessibility & Other Information" drop-down menu and you will find the information you are looking for faster than you can say Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!
Chelsea, I hope we've set you up for a successful day at Disneyland. While you are putting the finishing touches on your plans, I recommend a stop at the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest and greatest information. The Food & Wine Festival has just kicked off at California Adventure and you will find a complete
Foodie Guide detailing all the new snacks and sips!
If you have any more questions, we'd love to see you again here at
planDisney!
In faith, trust, and pixie dust,
Tara
