Hi Courtney! Welcome back to planDisney.
I love this question! It brings back wonderful memories of my family's most recent stay at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. One of our favorite things about staying there was the peaceful walk along the Sassagoula River to its sister resort,
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. The beautiful grounds and tranquil setting make these resorts a truly lovely place to visit or call "home" during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
So, yes! Guests are welcome to walk between the two resort hotels. This effectively doubles your dining options; we prefer the food court at French Quarter so found ourselves heading over there for meals. Additionally, registered Guests at French Quarter may use the pools at Riverside, and vice versa. My kiddos love the pool at Ol' Man Island, but my dragon-loving son got a huge kick out of swimming at Doubloon Lagoon.
I hope you enjoy your stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, Courtney.
We're still eagerly waiting for the reopening of Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter (Riverside just reopened a few days ago), so keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as you count down to your visit for details about experiences and dining. I especially enjoy reading their Foodie Guides, which often feature fun, limited-time snacks and treats at resort hotels. French Quarter is renowned for its Mickey beignets, and many fans are counting down the days to the reopening so they can enjoy this iconic treat!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney. We're here to help if you have any further questions as you plan and dream.
Wishing you much magic,
Robyn
