Can I walk over to the Polynesian at 6:30am to get coffee and get on the monorail for Magic Kingdom for early entry if staying at a Disney Hilton property that includes early entry?

    Hiya, Lindsay. Welcome to planDisney!

Staying at a hotel that offers Early Theme Park Entry is a great perk, especially if you’re heading to Magic Kingdom. As a multiple cups of coffee every morning type of person, there’s no better way to kick off an early morning than with a fresh cup of coffee from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort before jumping on the monorail.

You can absolutely visit any Disney Resorts Collection hotel to enjoy their quick service locations, lounges, shops, or coffee spots. So, grabbing your morning brew at the Polynesian and then boarding the monorail to Magic Kingdom is completely fine. The only piece you have to sort out is how you’ll get to the resort that early.

Since you’re staying at a Hilton property, you won’t be able to drive and park at the Polynesian unless you have a confirmed dining reservation to show the Cast Member at the security gate. Even then, parking is limited to the length of your dining window, so parking there to head into the parks is a no-go. Walking isn’t an option either, unless you’re starting from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa or Disney’s Contemporary Resort, since the rest of the surrounding area is all major roadways.

Here are your best options. If your hotel offers shuttle service to the Transportation and Ticket Center, you can walk from the TTC to the Polynesian in just a few minutes. There’s a clearly marked walking path, and it’s an easy, peaceful stroll. Your other option is using a ride share service like Lyft or Uber. Your driver will be allowed through the gate, and you can let the Cast Member know you’re heading in for a quick-service breakfast or browsing the resort. From there, you’re only steps away from coffee and the monorail platform.

I hope this helps you map out your morning, Lindsay. If you’d like more suggestions as you plan your day at Magic Kingdom, or want help building a Lightning Lane strategy before the sun comes up, come back to planDisney and send me another question. I’d be happy to help.

    TTFN,
    Brent
