Is the walk from The Little Mermaid standard rooms really that far to the main bldg in the AOA resort? To get a suite would be an extra $1,000 for 6 nights. I didn't know if we'd be too tired at the end of the day to get to our rooms? Worth it or not?

    Hi Shari,

If the only reason that you would be upgrading to a Family Suite and paying the extra $1,000 is because of the location and proximity to the main building, it isn't worth it. The Little Mermaid rooms are a bit of a walk, but by no means is it so far that you would want to pay the substantial price difference to save yourselves a few extra steps at the end of the night. The walk is quite do-able and when you take into consideration how much walking you will have done all day long, it will seem like a short stroll. You'll be on such a mission to collapse into your bed that you may even find yourselves power walking to get there at the end of the night.

I say save the $1,000 and use it for souvenirs or an exciting special adventure at Disney.

Please let me know if I can assist you further and have a wonderful vacation,
