I love to look at a good old-fashioned map. When I was little, I spent most of our family trips with my head buried in a road atlas trying to figure out the best way for my dad to get us to our next hotel that had a swimming pool! When you look at a physical map of Walt Disney World everything looks very close together and that is not the case!
Scott, walking from
Disney Springs to
EPCOT or
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is not recommended. The roads connecting the two areas were not designed for pedestrian traffic, and there are limited sidewalks in most parts of that journey.
Scott, my recommendation would be to think about staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel where you would have the benefit of complimentary bus service to a Disney resort hotel from Disney Springs which would allow you to utilize the theme park bus from that resort. If you are staying at off-site lodging, your option would be a ride share service like Uber or Lyft to get you to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios. You could also sprinkle some pixie dust on your travels and call on the
Minnie Van Service connected by Lyft. The Minnie Van can pick you up at Disney Springs and drop you off close to the theme park entrances. It’s a fun ride, and the Cast Members who drive the Minnie Vans are knowledgeable and so much fun to talk to!
Scott, once you do make it to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios, it is easy to travel between the two parks. The Disney Skyliner will glide you from Hollywood Studios to the International Gateway entrance at EPCOT. You could even take the Disney Friendship Boat between the two parks with a couple of stops along Disney’s BoardWalk area. Or, if you really have your mind set on walking, there is a scenic walking path from Hollywood Studios to Disney's BoardWalk! You’ll be able to follow the path to the International Gateway and find yourself at EPCOT in no time!
Scott, once you find your way to the magic, you are going to have a great adventure! Don’t forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
