Can I walk into downtown disney california or do I need a ticket?

    Hello there, Michelle.

Welcome to planDisney. I’m glad you took the time to stop by with your question for us.

I’m happy to report that you do not need a ticket in order to enter Downtown Disney District; after navigating through a brief security and bag check process, everyone can enter Downtown Disney District!

Downtown Disney District has wonderful retail and dining options for Guests to enjoy before, after, or in-between their theme park visits. While there, you can pick up some merchandise at World of Disney or grab some mouth-watering treats at Marceline’s Confectionery. My kids love watching the candy apples being transformed into whimsical Disney characters. We also enjoy the unique ice cream flavors at Salt & Straw

As you continue to plan your upcoming trip, be sure to check out Disney Parks Blog and Disneyland.com for the latest park news. Please don’t hesitate to write us again if you have more questions for us. We’re all EARS!

    Sending you pixie dusts,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
