    Hi! Do we walk by Chef Mickey on the way to Calif.Grill? Afraid my kids will see the charac.and want to go there instead. Bday dinner for mom and ds with pirates cruise after. Kids(5,8,10)mom(63:). Planned other charac.meals for kids during week. Thanks!

    Hi, Renee!   When you enter the Contemporary Resort, you will take the elevator in the lobby straight up to the California Grill.   Chef Mickey's is on the 4th floor, so you will bypass it without a problem.   UNLESS . . . .

    If you arrive to the Contemporary via the monorail, then you will zoom right past Mickey and his pals as they entertain the guests at Chef Mickey's.   However, I really think you will be fine.   There is so much going on around the 4th floor area (Chef Mickey's, Contempo Cafe, game room, gift shops) that you should be able to distract them from the character meal going on (it's the gift shop that is very inviting!!!)

    Have a wonderful dining experience at California Grill and when you arrive for your Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage, tell "Patch," your host for the evening, that everyone from the Moms Panel says "HI!"  We all just love this cruise!   Have fun!
