Can I walk around to see the grounds of different resorts if I am staying at a different hotel nearby.

Hi Robin! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

When staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, not only can you visit another resort, you're actually encouraged to do so! Many neighboring resorts have direct access between the properties through walking trails or connecting sidewalks. It's even pretty common to hop between the resorts located on the resort monorail loop. (Pro tip: if driving between resorts you'll have to scan your MagicBand at the guard house to ensure you're a guest elsewhere.)

From enjoying restaurants to partaking in recreational activities, guests are welcome to scope out where they would like to plan a future stay. Value hotels have larger than life statues of your favorite Disney icons. Disney's Port Orleans Resort French Quarter has freshly fried beignets. And you'll for sure want to check out the fun at Trader Sam's Grotto Grog at Disney's Polynesian Resort. Dining plan entitlements will of course be honored where ever you go, and don't forget your refillable drink mug as they too will work at all Disney Resort Hotels. The only thing you're asked not to do is swim in another resort's pool.

Speaking of recreation activities at the various resort hotels, you can find everything from Carriage Rides, to bike or boat rentals, to movies under the stars. Most offer (free!) bring-your-own-s'mores-stuff bonfires, and bonus, Chip and Dale even turn the Fort Wilderness campfire into a sing-a-long!

I do hope that you enjoy exploring, Robin, and we'll see you real soon!
