    How many walk up appointments are available each day to make a light saber at Hollywood Studios? This is the reason we will travel to Florida from Wisconsin and don’t want to plan a once in a lifetime trip and not get to give our son his birthday gift.

    Congratulations on your once-in-a-lifetime visit to the Walt Disney World Resort and a happy birthday to your son. I hope with all of my heart that it's a dream fulfilled. And I see that the crowning moment would be a visit to Savi's Workshop - Handmade Lightsabers at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This is a wildly popular attraction for Star Wars fans of all ages so making a reservation is highly recommended. Pro-tip: If you weren't able to grab one at the 60-day mark prior to your arrival, all is not lost. Check every day to see if one has become available. People cancel experiences for all kinds of reasons and at all kinds of times and you just may get lucky and nab a spot.

    Now a limited number of reservations may be available on the day you want to build your lightsaber up to 2 hours ahead of time. That number is unspecified as I assume it may be partially based on no-shows and cancellations. If this is the approach you're taking, I've seen all kinds of beautiful miracles take place at the Walt Disney World Resort and this one would be just as special.
