Will the Waldorf Astoria give us a card with our tickets on when we arrive or do we pick them up at the park on our first day? I have seen you need to tap in for ride access. Also, will there be mickey and Minnie topiary in October at Epcot and other parks

    Hi there, Sophie!

Thanks for sending another great question our way. You must be counting the months and weeks until your getaway to the Most Magical Place on Earth. October is a beautiful time to visit Walt Disney World. If you're a spooky season fan, follow the Disney Parks Blog for information on special events coming this fall.

Sophie, I spoke with someone at the front desk of the Waldorf Astoria Orlando, who shared that although they have an onsite ticket sales desk, they are a third-party ticket vendor and can only supply digital tickets. Since it sounds like you've already purchased your theme park admission, you can stop by a ticketing window upon arrival at your first theme park to pick up a plastic ticket card.

Alternatively, consider using Disney MagicMobile service to redeem admission from your mobile device. To do so, tap the three parallel lines at the bottom right corner of the My Disney Experience mobile app's home screen. Then click on the tile for My Tickets & Passes. When you see your ticket, tap "Save to Wallet" beneath the ticket barcode and follow the prompts to add the ticket to your digital wallet. When approaching a theme park entrance, open your digital wallet and tap your mobile device to scan into the park. You can also use your digital ticket to redeem Lightning Lane selections, enter virtual queues, and link Disney PhotoPass images during your visit. It's convenient to navigate your vacation from the palm of your hand!

Regarding floral creations featuring our favorite Disney pals, your holiday does not coincide with the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, so topiaries will be less prominent in this theme park. Landscaping and plant artistry vary, so it's tough to predict what you'll see, but you can count on finding fall-themed decor in Magic Kingdom Park during your stay. In the past, Mickey Mouse pumpkins adorned the Main Street U.S.A. lamposts and shop windows. Disney's Hollywood Studios usually displays character topiaries near Echo Lake, and EPCOT showcases expansive greenery even outside of festival season.

I hope this has been helpful and you find what you're looking for in October, Sophie. Thanks again for visiting us at planDisney; we can't wait to welcome you to the magic this fall!

Wishing you a great, big, beautiful tomorrow,
