What can I do to get on the waiting list for when Disneyland opens?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Ana! You’re as welcome as can be to planDisney!

Oh what a year it has been! Though 2020 has been a doozy, I can’t think of anything more magical than planning a future visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! I think we could all use a little extra magic in our lives right now! As you know, the Disneyland Resort theme parks and Resort Hotels are currently closed as we await updates from local and state government officials. At this time, there isn’t a waiting list to be alerted when they reopen. However, there are still plenty of ways to stay “in the know” so you don’t miss any breaking Disneyland Resort news! I recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog, Disneyland.com, and the Disneyland app for all the latest updates and information. You’ll be the first to know when theme-park tickets and hotel reservations are available once again!

Once the parks do reopen, keep in mind that reservations will be required in an effort to promote physical distancing. Hopefully we’ll have more information about the new reservation system soon!

Lastly, to bring some holiday flair to your face mask collection, I recommend checking out Disney’s Cloth Face Masks – you can purchase them online, or at Downtown Disney District. I purchased several on my recent visit to Walt Disney World Resort, and I love the new fit and material! Here’s my favorite holiday-themed pack to help you have a very merry holiday season!

I hope this information helps, Ana! Please stop back with any additional planning questions -- hopefully we’ll have more information to share soon.

Wishing you Disney magic this holiday season and beyond!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Greetings from sunny California! I live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder (and now a Magic Key Passholder) for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids ages 5-10, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Learn More About Kristin
