If we are waiting in line for a ride and one of the kids need to use the restroom, is this able to be done and a few ppl in our party staying in live and a few going to the restroom?

Hi there, Debbi--welcome to planDisney, and thanks for bringing us this question! You must be counting down the days until your Walt Disney World Resort vacation--so exciting! I am sure you are busy packing and plotting out your strategy to make it a practically perfect trip, so let's get you sorted.

You are thinking many steps ahead with this great question!  Walt Disney World has amazing attractions, restaurants, and special experiences all around the resort--and sometimes that means waiting in line for that must-do ride or show. I've been bringing our kids regularly since they were just 3 years and 6 months and we have absolutely been in the situation you describe. Midway through the line to Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid, a little voice says (and never in an inside voice, right?), "I have to go to the bathroom". You're too committed now to bail and skip the ride--so now what?

Debbi, it's almost guaranteed that you will be surrounded by fellow Guests who have been in your shoes before. I can honestly say that in 40+ years of visiting Walt Disney World, I've never seen anyone make a fuss when part of a group has to step out of line to tend to a child's needs and return to their spot. We're all in this together!

Fortunately, when nature calls at Walt Disney World, there are clean, convenient restrooms located throughout the parks. With your planning prowess, this map will help you figure out the best spot for a proactive potty break before hopping into the next line.  And maybe you can avoid a mid-line disruption altogether thanks to some magical Disney technology--our family always downloads the Play Disney Parks app before a trip to the theme parks. There are interactive experiences and games available in the queues at many different attractions and it really does make time fly!

I hope these details are helpful as you put the finishing touches on your vacation planning, Debbi! Thanks again for visiting us at planDisney--wishing you short lines and all the most special memories.

    Stay Magical!
