Hi there, Jean, and welcome to planDisney! It looks like you are into the final countdown for a magical vacation at
Walt Disney World Resort - how exciting! I'm always happy to lend a helping hand to a fellow Midwesterner, so let's get right to it to track down the information you need.
A trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth is always a good idea, but visiting in the winter is peak vacationing. There's nothing like escaping the snow and ice and spending some time in the sunshine! We just returned from a quick trip to Orlando and it was a much-needed boost.
Jean, I'm so sorry to hear that you weren't able to snag a
Lightning Lane Single Pass for
TRON Lightcycle/Run today. Lightning Lane access opens up 7 days before arrival for Guests staying on-property in a Disney
Resort Hotel, and it's possible that these were snapped up by travelers coming into town to enjoy the long President's Day Weekend.
However, this doesn't mean that you can't still snag a trip to the front of the line to enter the grid! It's possible that some additional Lightning Lanes may become available on February 13, although this isn't guaranteed. I recommend making sure you are using the most up-to-date version of the
My Disney Experience app, and checking promptly at 7:00am, then refreshing the Lightning Lane section regularly to check for availability.
In the event that you can't secure Lightning Lanes, my best advice is to head to TRON either first thing in the morning when
Magic Kingdom Park opens, or at the end of the day when crowds start to clear out after the evening fireworks. It's one of my favorite attractions to experience at night, along with
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!
I will be crossing my fingers and wishing on the evening star that you have a wonderful vacation, including a ride or two on TRON! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, Jean, and please come and see us again anytime.
See Ya Real Soon!
Susan
