    We waited too long to make reservations for Character Dining at Disney World and we are also going to Mickey's Christmas party, can you get a reservation at the park? Or is it strictly online and nothing available there?

    It is a pleasure to welcome you to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are honored to answer your first question.

    Character dining experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort are extremely popular. Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance and I highly recommend doing so if you have the opportunity. In case you miss a coveted spot at a popular venue, you can always try to check for availability directly at the restaurant on the day of your visit. It is not guaranteed that you will get a table, and if you are lucky you might have to wait for some time before you are seated.

    I also suggest constantly checking the My Disney Experience mobile app or online for availability. Guests change plans all the time, especially as travel dates get closer. I have already had to cancel a very hard to get reservation the day before arriving because our flights were changed and we would actually not make the reservation anymore. Don’t give up!
