I waited too long and now can't get an appt at BBB for our 6 yr old DD. Any other suggestions? We did the tea party at GF last year and had a great time. They have also done the pirate cruise from BC. Our trip is in 3 weeks. Thanks

Hi Deborah! Ugh...it is always upsetting when you finally figure out what plans you want to make only to find out you were too late in getting a reservation. With Disney it is best to quickly book something and revise it later.

Although it is late for this too you can try getting an appointment for the Pirates League in the Magic Kingdom. They do wonderful makeovers for both boys and girls and also adults so you both could go in and become transformed before your eyes. They offer four packages ranging from $30-$40. You can try your luck by calling 407-939-2739.

You can also take time to head over to Fort Wilderness and have a visit to the Disney stables, take a pony ride, and finish your evening off with a carriage ride. Most little girls love horses and this is a wonderful way to actually get close and talk to some of Cinderella's ponies.

I strongly suggest you look into the Family Magic Tour in the Magic Kingdom. This is a group tour for the entire family but centers on the kids. They have an interactive magical hunt throughout the park with a special guide and will meet up with surprise characters and have front of the line chance to meet Mickey and Minnie. It lasts about 1 1/2-2 hours so it won't even take up the entire day of fun in the park. The cost is $34 for all ages and you can check on availability by calling 407-939-8687.

A last thought for something special would be to book one of the fireworks cruises for the family. You can bring up to ten guests on the pontoon boats and can add extra flair of balloons or special foods if you wish. The cruises can be booked for the Magic Kingdom Wishes show or the Epcot Illuminations Show each night. The resorts that are on the water will all have boats for the cruise so you need to determine which resort to book out of or which one has availability. To check on this option please call 407-939-7529.
